I'm using a logitech mx700 and none of the extra buttons function. For example, when i try to use back/forward they just cause the browser (mozilla) to flash. Didn't have this problem before LS, and mouseware is running.
Start Mouseware by hand and it should work. There are 2 startup apps...one for drivers and one for config...least on mine. If you get it to work by running it by hand throw it in a startup group, or use mzScript to run it on startup.
Tried that, it didn't work. Though I discovered that it is, in fact, only the back and forward buttons that aren't working. Hmm..
Edit: It is, in fact, not the buttons, but that particular function which doesn't work. Apparently that function must be a keystroke and somehow that keystroke is assigned to something in LS (although I deleted all the keystrokes in the cfg file).
Its more likely that the button is assigned to a function in explorer that is not present in LS. You can test it by trying back/forward in Mozilla or Opera or whatever. If it don't work its an explorer thing...if it does its an assignment thing prolly with your desktop module. If thats the case talk to ilmcuts and see if he can get a module to do back/forward or disable the binding to the mouse button.
My back and fprward on my Logitech Keyboard werk. weird y it doesnt werk fo my MX 500
this isn't exactly related, but how happy have you guys been with your wireless logitech's in games? I've heard that the mouses may not react as quickly as you can, which can cause some problems, notable in shooters, but I haven't heard about the logitech's specifically.
I have a logitech mx500 mouseware v9.78 on Windows XP SP1, and I to have discovered that my mouse now does weird stuff.
The side buttons or button 2 & 3 as they are refered inside the configuration Util. are suppose to use the back/forward function in the browser. But instead it minimize/maximize the window.
No tinkering from my side has made the prob go away.
I think to that it is a LS prob. I'm using LS v0.24.7 installer v2.6 by Omar and simplicity theme.
I'm currently using Explorer as browser.
Mouseware is put into a section of the Registry that is part of explorer so LS does not run it. Best bet is to put the software into your startup folder...that will correct the issue. Odd...I could have sworn I read that here over and over again...
devilboi, yeah, right above
