hi, i think this is one of my first posts, owell no matter.
i was talking with ilmcuts about adding a feature to jAmpToo that would allow users to display the playlist on their desktop, he suggested a new module be made for that sort of thing.
so im here asking if anyones interested in creating a module that would allow a user to display their playlist from winamp on their desktop, also allowing them to play the tracks by clicking on them.
i know the: !Amp_JumpToFile is able to do this, but i thought just a listing that can be positioned and skinned and what not would be better for certain ppl that find the window for the above bang a little bulky.
anyways, hope that describes some of what im asking, anyone interest in this would be great.
Thanks for your time.
I think it is must be a WinAMP plugin, because there is no other way to work with the native WA playlist.
I have a separate Playlist.exe that has bangs for litestep and is configurable it does everything your asking for.
i guess i could take a look @ it :-)
you gotta URL to your program?
Not sure about some other ls winamp mods but geekamp and a bang !Amp_PlayList that toggles winamp's playlist, I just use a shortcut with the bang. Might be easier than creating another ls or winamp mod.
im creating a template for what my new desktop will look like - i'll add the adition of a playlist in how i would want it to look like.
ive been using the some of the GeekAmp bangs but find without a change in the appearance of windows Explorer itself, that it still looks 'windowsish' i guess w/o changing that, i can go only so far.
thanks for all the feedback so far guys, appreciate it
see...what I honestly don't understand is that I got this "functionality" within 30 seconds and this thread has been open for a week.
Right click on Winamp and show your Playlist window and hide your Main window. Once that is done !Amp_Hide and !Amp_Show will toggle your playlist window. All you need then is a winamp theme for your theme.
Yep, winamp doesn't have to look "windowsish" at all =)
and to fix exploder buy a copy of WindowBlinds already!
theres a reason im using this - im poor
but when i get the money i'll consider it - i got more important applications to save up for though :/
More important than your pride as an LS user....::sigh:: kids today....
and there's shellwm which is is completely free...
and that patchxp for xp :)
thanks egonz, didnt know of those - will look into them
@ paradox - interesting assumption. but thats all it is. NT dont assume so much about a person based on the money they have. thx
=P Dude I was just kidding, forgot my sarcasm HTML tags
