long complex problem.... Thread last updated on 2003-07-11 20:45:40

I've been using litestep for about a year or 2 and never had problems like this until now, of course my system is very different then it was before. I am mainly into audio and installed my system so audio would be optimized. For instance I installed windows as a "standard PC" so I could assign my audio card to it's own IRC channel, I have a bunch of tweaks.

But I have a suspicion that the problems I'm getting with Litestep are due to the fact that I have 2 versions of windows installed on 2 different drives. However, I deleted that version that was on my main drive because it wasn't operating properly so I am mainly using the windows on my secondary "D" drive and that's where I installed Litestep.

The problems that I'm getting (and that I didn't get with my old install of Litestep) are:

- an error message when I switch themes that there is already a version of Litestep running.

- a crash of Litestep.exe after many themes have opened.

- many error message warning of missing modules.

if you have any advice I really appreciate it. Thanks.

Well, this aint no advice, but...

I'm runnning several copies of windows (three) and using LiteStep on one of them. I've never experienced any problems with it. Don't know. Maybe you should try a new version of LiteStep. // Magnus

which IRC Channel did you assign your sound card to? Id like to talk to it sometime. :D

1) How are you trying to switch themes?
2) See 1
3) Check your theme configs and make sure all modules are present and accounted for

to update your build go to downloads section and download indiestep. kill ls and just copy those files to your litestepdir (and yes, replace the files).
