Look at the top left corner of this image.

Of course the DOS text there is probably just for style and part of the image, but it occured to me that if such functionality would really exist, and peoples desktops would show their shells at all times... Well... That would just be pretty darn cool and handy. Want a shell, just click the desktop. Type in commands, switch back to prog, run textmode apps etc...
The fact that BASH and other unix shells are aveilable for windows makes this even more attractive, think of it.
Please tell me that the thing in the top left is for real.
