Why on earth would Litestep invalidate the normal wallpaper changing methods anyway? Isn't that supposed to be illegal or something...
Don't use themes that work that way.

do what I do... if it doesn't work, fix it. use window's display properties.

uhh, didn't he already say that using windows wallpaper changer didn't do anything?

anyways, if the theme uses a specific wallpaper, you usually can't change it without going into lsts and changing it, or erasing the specified wallpaper in lsts (not the wallpaper itself, just where it specifies it).

actually...the real problem is that he tried to set a JPG background. Convert the image to BMP and try again. :)

sorry to argue with you dev, but jpg's do work, at least if you're running xp(at least, I THINK it's xp that lets them work). and, if you change it through windows.

THE JPG handler is part of the ActiveDesktop part of explorer which isn't loaded by LS. Now maybe there was a change in XP but other OS' don't allow for JPG backgrounds to be set in LS via the Control panel.

DeViLbOi, XP on me laptop can do .jpg's. Kinda nice to have that back, I have to admit...kinda handy for checking quality of images. But, alas, all 3 of my w2k boxes still are in the .bmp age...LOL!
