I dont know exactly what to look for. There are so many builds and versions, I'd like to find one that works seamlessly with my os.
I am trying to use litestep as a means to modify my interface to suit my company. I use xp professional, no service packs or updates.
Help is appreciated.
1. Install litestep with the "LiteStep Installer (omar)"
2. Upgrade the installed files to "Indie LiteStep"
You'll find both of these in the Downloads section.
I havent upgraded the installed files. I'll give it a shot.
I'm having trouble getting themes downloaded from this server to work properly. They are usually just completely out of wack.
I cant figure out how to install indie, either.
Right now the only real problem I am having is my system wanting to run the explorer shell and litestep shell at the same time. How do I disable the explorer shell so litestep runs on its own?
Search the forums. The answer was right in front of you.
Litestep and explorer fighting
Thanks man. I apologize, I looked for answers. I'm usually the type to fix things myself.
I still have the problem of the skins looking horribly out of wack, but I'll get to that after I do indie and obliterate explorer.
Crap. That would have worked better if brembs.net was still alive. Any other places for help? Also, is it wuerd that when I initially installed ls the explorer shell didnt run over it? I had to uninstall/install a few times, trying to shake some things adjar.
For some reason its working now. I have a sneaking suspicion that it had to do with me installing it for all users, not just one account.
Either way, thank you guys for your help.
" still have the problem of the skins looking horribly out of wack"
Some themes don't display well if you're running a multi-monitor system. This is just a guess at what your problem could be.
