I am running the Simple Plan theme and the most recent version of Indie after using the Omar installer on XP. When I logoff, I get "exception error litestep/desktop2.dll"
This doesn't seem to cause too many problems if I just click 'ok' and exit but it is irritating.
Sorry if this question is already answered but I have checked most forums and any remotely related answers don't apply to my situation.
Would appreciate any fix.
I just tried Simple Plan and it seems to work fine on my system. Your copy of desktop2.dll may be corrupted. Try downloading a new version of this module.
Thanks very much DrWorm, I'll keep you posted.
Does it also happen if you !recycle or !quit?
i am also having this problem, and it does happen occasionally when i recycle. i searched but couldn't seem to find a copy of the module to download anywhere. silentfox, have you found a resolution to this problem?
also, my system tray seems to be randomly deciding what icons to show, and which to apparently disregard. have you had any problems along these lines?
I have had problems with the sytem tray although I haven't tried !recycle but !quit works on the simplicity theme.
I too couldn't find the module.
Does anyone know where to d/l the module with desktop2.dll?
desktop2 is a core module, you get it with litestep.
And it should be rather stable. It really sounds like a module conflict to me. Most of the time such an exception is a rather serious bug, without the rudimentary (sp?) exception handling LS would have crashed. So it's really something we should track down.
Interestingly enough, although I downloaded LiteStep, I don't have a copy of desktop2.dll on my hard drive. Would anyone happen to be able to get me a copy?
this thread is outdated...
to get a copy you would install an OTS2 theme that needs it.
desktop2 is not a core module, you don't get it with litestep.
!NetInstallModule desktop2-2.0.1
