Hello!

It seems that every time I use LiteStep as shell, none of the files that I open (or save) get a shortcut to the recent files directory in c:\documents and settings\valttu\recent\. And when I switch to Explorer as shell, everything works like it should. So it really
pisses me of when I can't use the recent files -function when running LiteStep (the recent files in PopUp shows only the files I have used when using Explorer as shell. When I had Windows 98SE, I had no such problem. Now my operating system is Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 1 and I have Indiestep 12/09/2002 build (although I have tested other builds too, but the problem persists with them). Anyone have any idea what causes this and what would be the solution? Thanks VERY much in advance.

I've had the same problem in Windows 2000. No idea why. Try running LiteMan (dde server module for LS) and see if that helps. Try removing the recent files popup bang and just doing a !DynamicFolder:C:\Documents and Settings\$User$\recent or something like that. might work.

Nothing seems to help. I think that Windows just wants explorer running for the recent files to function properly :(. Hope someone will fix this problem sometime in near future.

I would have to add a ME TOO... to this post... and I further it by asking if it is possible to make it so that the "Recent File" pop-up only show documents of certain types... like for example...

*Popup "Recent Files" !PopupFolder:
"C:\Documents and Settings\1BEB\Recent\*.doc"|
"C:\Documents and Settings\1BEB\Recent\*.fla"|
"C:\Documents and Settings\1BEB\Recent\*.psd"|
"C:\Documents and Settings\1BEB\Recent\*.html"|
"C:\Documents and Settings\1BEB\Recent\*.txt"|
"C:\Documents and Settings\1BEB\Recent\*.jpeg"|
"C:\Documents and Settings\1BEB\Recent\*.jpg"|
"C:\Documents and Settings\1BEB\Recent\*.doc"

Does it work when you pipe line a set of paterns or is there another way to do this?
