Hi, just wanted to advise all LS users about a problem reported on several times, mainlly realated to new window creation. Previously it was produced by making a 'critical update' via windows update (security updated nº810649)... but know BILLY and his crew are so smart that they included the bug on SP4!!!!

So beware of this before updating to sp4.

BTW this bug has nothing to do with litestep, if you use explorer as a shell you'll have this same stupid behaviour... the most funny thing is that this update (critical????) is supposed to "...increase compatibility with other browsers..." (critical???? ... it's critical not to do it)

For more details read this thread.

Mguel

And as stated on other thread once you did the update a posible solution is to replace your shell32.dll with the sp3 one. I have just replaced the shell32.dll of sp4 with the old one from sp3 (with my custom icons too) and now the folder problem is gone... thanks god and don't let evil (Billy) win ;)

So as an advise... before installing SP4 make a backup of your SP3 shell32.dll file
