I'm trying to add sliders to my theme but I can't seem to get them to showup. Here's what I have:

*Slider "Volume" 10 30 0 "slider.bmp" "handle.bmp" V [VOLUME] 0

*Slider "Winamp" 50 30 0 "slider.bmp" "handle.bmp" V [WINAMP]

they sliders don't even show up im my theme, any clues?

*slider "master volume" 10 30 0 "slider.bmp" "handle.bmp" V [VOLUME] 0
*slider "winamp position" 50 30 0 "slider.bmp" "handle.bmp" V [WINAMP]

try that

also, try putting them in a place where there are NO shortcuts... that way you know whether or not your shortcuts are hiding them.

Litestep doesn't see to like me LOL
there's nothing in that area, I've even attempted putting them in the middle of the screen to see if they would appear...but alas nothing

Try adding a slider group number and see if that helps. My settings look like this:

*Slider "Winamp Seek" $sliderx$ $slidery$ $sliderbtnoff$ ampsliderBGT.bmp SlideRingT.bmp HATI#1 [WinAmp] 0
*Slider "Winamp Volume" $sliderx$ $slidery+9$ $sliderbtnoff$ ampsliderBGB.bmp SlideRingB.bmp HATI#1 [VOLUME] W
*Slider "Main Volume" $slMainX$ $slMainY$ 0 sliderBGL.bmp SlideringL.bmp VTAB#0 [VOLUME] 0
*Slider "Wave Volume" $slWaveX$ $slWaveY$ 0 sliderBGR.bmp SlideringR.bmp VTAB#0 [VOLUME] 1

What version of lsslider are you using, older versions have problems with win2k and xp. You should grab v1.71 if thats not what you already have. If thats not the problem I'm not sure what else to try. :)

Sorry Deilboi, I didn't mean to make it sound like that.
I know there's something I'm doing wrong, just trying to get some thoughts from other ppl and maybe I'll stumble across my mistake.
But yes I do think it's strange that I haven't found it yet.
Maybe I'll finish the rest of my theme, then send it to a willing "editor" to see if they can find the mistake hehe

Well I know for a fact on my computer that if the background image has magic pink in it the handle dosn't get draw over the pink area so if you have a full pink image for the background you wont see anything

omg I'm an idiot =P
Mr. Underhill had it. Elegance-16 comes with an older version of lsslider, but I had brushed off his thought since the readme I had in front of me was from version 1.71. Then I remembered that Elegance also comes with no mod docs so I had downloaded the module off the net and opened the readme. So it finally hit me and I checked the sizes of dll's...sure enuff the one I was trying to run under win2k was different from 1.71!
*sigh*
Thanks for all the responses!

Well, I'm glad that solved your problem.

Indie Step and the new 'LS control panel' is useful for returning version numbers of modules - it's helped me to sort out running old/new modules and making me realise i needed to download updated ones.
