tasks.dll in lsbox not refreshing Thread last updated on 2003-07-02 12:11:20

Using the previous to current release of LsBox, I'm trying to get tasks.dll to properly display vertical tiles. If there are programs already open when the theme is recycled, their task tiles show appropriately. If new tasks are opened, however, the tile is displayed on the desktop, immediately under the box, although the clicki-activation area is where it should be, in the box (?)

The tile that appears on the desktop seems to be a visual artifact, as moving an open window over it wipes it away. Any suggestions on how to resolve this? I can email the theme, if that would make it easier.

are you running win2k? guess so, because this is a typical w2k bug of tasks.dll when hooked in a box.
hooking the tasks.box into another box should solve this, but personally never managed to get that working right.
another workaround could be to use lsbox version 2.95 with setting "LsBoxDisableFX" (which regrettably was removed in version 3)
hope this helps

You nailed it right on the head! (W2K). Can't wait to get home and try this out!...

ceeslans- the LsBoxDisableFX addition worked perfectly!! This is just another reason why we regard you as a master LiteStepper!

Deuce- sorry, 24.6 (last stable, as opposed to most current alpha release). :)
