i'm using windows xp. sometimes i'll get weird pink edges around icons..

what can i do?

that's kinda confusing to me :/

humm, I've saw weird pink edges around text on XP (because of it's f**g anti-aliasing) and ugly systray icons (maybe because systray2 can't display 32bits icons)...
One great fix: switch back to Win2K, the best OS Cro$oft has ever made.
