Ive installed Litestep with the theme "Turtlesoup II", and all works fine, but... After Windows XP is loaded and the welcome screen is been displayed Windows don't does anything for a few seconds. There is no HDD, CPU or RAM activity. Then it loads and works fine, but I don't wan't to wait so long each time the PC is booting! What can I do?
My PC is a:
Athlon XP 2000+
256MB RAM
Geforce 4 Ti 4200
60GB HDD

There is another thread on this already. See Windows Start up. Please in the future read other threads before posting the same problem.

Well, I do not think it is quite the same problem as in the other thread, so I don't think he needs to be slapped in the face ;-).

But it is a common problem with Litestep in XP. I have it also, but not all of the time. In W2K never have that problem. What I do is this: check what is loaded at startup and make sure everything not really needed is not loaded (good thing anyway). Specially things like nwiz.exe should be disabled. Never found a real permanent solution for it yet. It looks like a service at start sometimes does wait for some sort of a time out and then the start process goes on. At my box litestep always comes up first, but sometimes Rainlender and Object Dock take 5-10 seconds to come up. Most of the time they all come up nicely :-). I hope one day we find the solution....

you need to go back to the classic logon screen.

Nope, that is not the problem, that is another one. I always use the classic logon screen.
