I'm interested in switching over from LSDistro (the distribution that got me introduced to litestep) to an OTS build, but I don't want to lose any of my popup.rc and step.rc settings... Will those files be compatible with OTS if I make the switch?

There was a conversion rc written when OTS first came out. Maybe check the OTS website for it.
