Hello and good day, after much hiatus, i decided to install litestep using Omar's LiteStep Installer v2.1.

I use the shell for the acct that i am installing in. After rebooting as what the dialogue told me, i typed in the passwords as usual for my account.

After waiting for what seems to be eternality, my account finally enter the desktop.

However, instead of seeing the simplicity theme, i saw the a error message regarding "stepset.dll"

May i know anyone has a solution for this?

Thank you and have a nice day.

It's a bug/feature in LiteStep 0.24.6. There are two solutions: Either get a 0.24.7 beta or start LS once with admin rights.

Hmm...so a user in winXP WITHOUT admin rights using litestep v0.24.6 installed in using an admin acct before that WILL NOT be able to use Litestep after all.

Am i correct to say that? Darn...

No, unless you use 0.24.7 you have to _start_ (not only install) it at least once with admin rights. After that you can use it just fine without admin rights.

Litestep 0.24.7 is still in its beta form with its own set of bugs too right?

So, may i know whether i should upgrade to 0.24.7 or don't use Litestep at all and wait till the OFFICIAL version of Litestep 0.24.7 is out?

K, all the ilmcuts is saying is, give the user account admin rights, then log in as that user. after you've logged in once, and litestep has started up, then log back off, and remove the user's admin rights. just do that, and you don't need to worry about 0.24.7. and yes, it's still in beta, it still has some bugs, just like all betas.
