hey folks.

I just installed litestep. i'm using the "simplicity" theme. I must say, it's very slick. unfortunately, I'm having some problems. whenever I change my desktop image, there's a rectangle in the bottom left corner that will remain as a portion of what was the previous desktop image. does anyone know how to fic this? i've tried reinstalling and that didn't do it.

also, how do I add icons to my workspaces?

thanks in advance.

First off, your thread title is unacceptable. It gives us no idea of what your issue is. Something like "Simplicity wallpaper glitch" would be more acceptable.

The glitch you've described also occurs for myself. I don't know how to correct it but I believe it's because of the deskfolder.dll module. Since I don't find icons on my desktop useful I don't use it.

To find out how to add more icons to your workspace you should read the readme file that accompanies the Simplicity theme.

To fix the problem with your "Wallpaper Glitch"... just recycle Litestep. The problem is that the module that occupies that space uses False Transparency which means it just takes a shot of the background image when Litestep loads and uses it for it's background. Just recycle litestep, it will take a shot of the new wall paper, and you are good to go. Simple as that.

For deskop icons, deskfolder.dll is a good module, or else you can just make litestep *Shortcut 's.. Although deskfolder.dll is more dynamic than just putting a simple *Shortcut. You may want to look into both of those for getting desktop icons.
