I tried litestep about 5 years ago and it worked great, but I quit using it because I got tired of editing the step.rc file everytime I applied a new theme. Now I want to try it again so I downloaded the distribution from here with the installer and I got a shell switcher. The problem I have now is I have since forgotten how to switch shells and start litestep. I tried starting litestep from the folder it is installed in and it tells me explorer is running. It starts but it is behind the windows taskbar. The shell switcher lets me choose litestep and it does start it but the windows taskbar comes right back up. I am running windows xp and would like to see litestep without that taskbar in the way.

you need to logout or reboot to reload just LS as the shell instead of running LS as an app on top of explorer.
