Right Click Box Thread last updated on 2003-05-31 15:00:18

I remember something in the tutorials at joeblade.com about how to make the systray appear where you click on the desktop. Well, its not there anymore. Anyone know how I might be able to make a lsbox appear where I click on the desktop? To clarify, instead of right clicking on the desktop and getting my popup, I want to right click on my desktop and have a box appear in the same manner. Can anyone offer some ideas to help me get started with this?

I've never used lsbox but here's how to do it without lsbox
*Desktop RButton !SystrayToggle
*jDeskMButton2 [.none;!none;!SystrayToggle;!none]

I'm sure lsbox has a similar !bang

Remember, these keys are defined in personal.rc and should not be defined in a theme if you want it to be OTS. You should choose a different type of mouse click if you are going to distribute this theme.

I understand how to toggle the systray, etc. What I'm looking to do is have the lsbox appear at the exact location where I click on the desktop just like the popup menu does.

Thanks for the link...maybe my answer is over there.

That link did the trick. Thank you. I noticed a small typo though. The author uses [] to define variables when they should be {}. You know, just in case anyone noticed.

Again, thanks for the link. You have no idea how long I've wanted to be able to do this.

square brackets are correct for older versions of mzscript, i believe. so technically it isn't a typo, it's an anacrhonism.
