Litestep won't work on XP Thread last updated on 2003-05-20 11:14:08

For some reason when I run the litestep installer on litestep.net downloads, it will not run when I restart. I'm on XP. I login and the login screen goes all stumpy looking. I can control-alt-delete and then it gives me my default background color, no litestep.exe running...I try to run it manually and it doesn't work. Litestep loads, then unloads instantly. No error messages. Any help would be appreciate.

Thanks
DLake

that's a nice explanation. isn't it your third try? ;)

actually the resized login-screen is a "feature" of M$. it does that with all alternative shells. to get rid of it, you have to change to classical login-screen. if you really like your login-screen then ctrl+alt+del and esc after that (to close the task manager) is the best solution for now.

now your second problem: check your registry and be sure everything is altered correctly. you can get help for that from HERE.
