The reason i was gonna try this was so i could place buttons in exact places on the desktop to fit in with the background image. i tried a test to see if it could work by altering my screen resolution (effectively altering the ratio) but the desktop labels weren't placed as acurately as i'd hoped. i was trying to use positioning down to the pixel rather than just pretty close.

I was hoping to make a skin which had a very organic feel to the desktop but it wouldn't work in practice. Maybe i wasn't doing the cals correctly or maybe it was because of the restriction of int values only. I could maybe have scripted it and it might have been better but i've been sidetracked with another skin now.
